Is there an East End walking tour app for iPhone?
Yes. WanderWalk is an iPhone app with GPS audio walks in London’s East End. Stories play when you come within about 40 metres of the mapped place. It is not a turn-by-turn navigation app.
Which East End areas does WanderWalk cover?
Curated walks already ship for Shoreditch, Limehouse, Bethnal Green, Wapping and Tower Hill. You can also use Wander mode to walk the East End without a start point.
Do I need a guide?
No. WanderWalk is self-guided. Put the phone away and walk. You do not need a live tour guide.
Does it include a Jack the Ripper tour?
No. WanderWalk does not ship a named Jack the Ripper walk. The East End walks we do have cover dark and local history in Shoreditch, Limehouse, Bethnal Green, Wapping and Tower Hill.
Does it work in Whitechapel, Shoreditch or Limehouse?
Shoreditch and Limehouse have named curated walks. There is no Whitechapel walk. Wander mode can still play nearby London stories as you walk, including in streets we have not turned into a named route.
